Welcome to Byrning Spears and Raglan Surf Shapes located on Wainui Road Raglan on the way to the beach
Hi surfers Ray here just wanted to let you guys and girls know that it is ok to ride what you like. This is my new blog and I will be updating it with new info on surgfing and raglan surfshapes. Some of you will already know me and a whole lot of you wont. But we will be changing that.
Byrning spears surfboards are known all over the world for beautiful channel bottom shooters and guns. To do a great channel bottom you need great glassing and sanding by people who really know what they are doing, and we have that at hard case glassing. It doesn’t stop there though…
In our quiver of shapes are fishes of many flavours; twin keels and 4 fins and some seriously retro surf craft, with performance style longboards also are a big thing.
I’ve been making boards in NZ and Australia since 1985 and am inspired by many different people. I have a stock of boards in my showroom in Raglan, come on in and have have a look.
custom ordered surfboards with your own input is what my business is really all about. Call for a chat about your next shooter, no obligation – Ray Finlay… surfboard designer
